Men robbed on walk near Dean Village

TWO men were robbed and assaulted as they walked close to Dean Village.

The pair, both aged 32, were walking north in Queensferry Street at around 2am on Friday morning, when they noticed two men following them.

They walked into Bells Brae, where the two men assaulted them.

One was robbed of a small amount of cash, and the men then ran back in the direction of Queensferry Street.

Both suspects are thought to have been in their early 20s. One was 5ft 9ins tall, of medium to stocky build, with short dark hair, and was wearing a yellow striped polo shirt.

The other was 5ft 7ins with dirty blond hair and was wearing a black shirt.

A police spokesman said: "We are appealing for any information that can help us."
