Men in court after £25,000 cocaine haul found in car

TWO men have been arrested and charged after police officers pulled over a car on a motorway and found £25,000 of cocaine inside the vehicle.

The men, aged 31 and 38, were set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday after the discovery earlier that morning.

As part of Operation Erase - an ongoing operation to target drug-dealing in East and Midlothian - officers stopped the Vauxhall Vectra on the A720 city bypass in Midlothian.

Drugs believed to be cocaine with an estimated value of 25,000 were then seized.

The men were charged with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
