Men charged with murder

TWO men have appeared in court charged with murdering a man who was found unconscious in a lift in a block of flats.

The men were arrested in connection with 44-year-old John Carter's death on February 27 at Salamander Court in Edinburgh.

The Crown Office said Simon Brown, 40, from North Berwick, and Paul Banks, 47, from Edinburgh, were charged with murder when they appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
