Men arrested over car theft

POLICE have arrested and charged three men in connection with the theft of a car outside a home in South Queensferry.

The men, aged 20, 21 and 23, were arrested after an Alfa Romeo was stolen from outside the address in the early hours of Sunday morning.

All three are expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

Police said inquiries are continuing in respect of a number of other vehicle thefts that have happened across Edinburgh in recent days.

In each of the incidents, a home was broken into before thieves made off with a vehicle after stealing the ignition keys.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone with any information on any of these incidents should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131-311 3131."
