Melting with enthusiasm

EDINBURGH'S centre for social innovation, The Melting Pot, is running a second round of its "Assisted Places" Programme.

Helping start-up social entrepreneurs escape long hours working alone at their kitchen table, the scheme offers free membership of The Melting Pot for six months.

First-round applicant Jo Timmins of Lyra Theatre said: "The Melting Pot community is eclectic, interesting and friendly."
