Mearns adds a third award

An Edinburgh Chartered Financial Planners has been named as the only Scottish firm to win the Gold Standard for Independent Financial Advice in 2011.

Mearns & Company has been awarded the Gold Standard for Independent Financial Advice for the third year in a row.

The award was presented to Margaret Mearns, managing director of the firm, by Lord Hunt at an award ceremony in the House of Commons on Wednesday.
