McKee hails new air jobs

Lothians SNP MSP Ian McKee has welcomed the creation of 60 new jobs with EasyJet's plans for three new routes from Edinburgh Airport.

From September, the airline will fly from the Capital to Athens, Grenoble and Tenerife.

It will also base a new Airbus A320 at Edinburgh Airport.

EasyJet expects to fly 2.2 million passengers to and from the Capital this year.

Dr McKee said: "I'm delighted that EasyJet has decided to invest in Edinburgh. Sixty jobs are a lot in this climate and I welcome the company's commitment to Scotland."
