Match marks footballer

A CHARITY match officiated by one of the country's best-known former referees will take place in memory of a young footballer.

Craig Gowans, from Blackhall, died at the age of 17 when a long pole he was carrying touched power lines at Falkirk FC's training ground.

The game between Hutchison Vale and Dukla Pumpherston and refereed by John Rowbotham at the Saughton Enclosure on August 8 from 2pm. Among those in attendance will be Celtic's Shaun Maloney and Falkirk manager Steven Pressley.
