Match assault arrest

A WOMAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault during an under-15s football match at the weekend.

The 40-year-old was apprehended following an alleged incident at Double Hedges Park in Liberton on Sunday afternoon, during a match between Edinburgh City FC and Inch Colts.

Police said although an arrest has been made, inquiries into the incident are still ongoing and have urged anyone with any information to contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131.
