Marks smuggled in for talk

INFAMOUS former drug smuggler Howard Marks will be giving a talk in the Capital tomorrow night on his colourful life.

Marks began to deal while studying at Oxford University and ended up smuggling 30-tonne consignments of hashish from Pakistan and Thailand to America and Canada.

He was released on parole in April 1995 after serving seven years of a 25-year sentence in America.

He will be talking at the Pleasance at 7.30pm as the film based on his life, Mr Nice, is released in cinemas nationwide.
