Mark charity's centenary

RESIDENTS across the Capital are being asked to help mark the 100th birthday of a cancer charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support, founded in 1911, is urging local people to help make its birthday year extra special by taking on a fundraising challenge.

Fundraising manager for Edinburgh Pamela Williamson said: "It could be anything from a sponsored walk for one to a glamorous ball for 200. You'll have great fun organising your event and the money you raise will help us support people with cancer."
