A ROYAL Marine is in a critical condition after his car hit a telegraph pole and rolled into a field.

The 24-year-old was driving on the A933 Arbroath to Friockheim road, near to Royal Marine base RM Condor in Angus, when the car left the road at about 3am yesterday.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
