Maria McGill set for hospice role

THE organisation responsible for children's hospices in Scotland has appointed a new chief executive.

Maria McGill will take up the role with the Edinburgh-based Children's Hospice Association, which caters for numerous terminally ill Lothians youngsters.

The former Highland Hospice chief executive succeeds the retiring Marian Keogh.

She said: "This is a dream job for me. I have worked closely with CHAS on a number of occasions and I have always been very impressed with the work it carries out as Scotland's only children's hospice charity."
