Man’s death in burning Glasgow flat ‘suspicious’

POLICE are treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found in a burning flat in the Knightswood area of Glasgow late last night.

Emergency services were called to the blaze at a property in Lincoln Avenue in the city just before midnight last night.

The body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered inside.

Strathclyde Police said a post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of his death.

However, the force said his death is suspicious.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
