Manchester man arrested after woman found dead

A MAN was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said, after a woman was found stabbed to death in a park.

Emergency services were called to Heaton Park in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, following reports that a woman was seriously injured.

The victim died at the scene. Sources said she had been stabbed.
