Management firm and coffee shop get new HQ

GLOBAL management support company Aecom is to bring all of its staff in the Capital under one roof after signing a deal to move into the former headquarters of Standard Life.

The firm will relocate its 175 city staff to the Tanfield development on Inverleith Row, Canonmills, after signing a 15-year lease.

It will become the first office tenant following the 20 million refurbishment of the office.

And coffee shop Coffee Angel is to set up a pod within the retail part of the building.

Mark Harris, director of private equity firm The Carlyle Group, which refurbished the building in a joint venture with Bellhouse Joseph, said: "The first lettings at Tanfield emphasise the flexibility of the space and the wide-ranging requirements the building can accommodate."

Chris Lynch, co-owner of Coffee Angel, said: "It's an excellent opportunity for us to grow the brand of Coffee Angel within Canonmills and as a result we've been able to recruit an additional two members of staff."
