Man stabbed in Glasgow street

A 24-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was found on the street with stab wounds.

Strathclyde Police said the man was discovered seriously injured in the Ruchazie area of Glasgow around 9.20pm last night.

He was taken by ambulance to the city's Royal Infirmary before being transferred to Stobhill Hospital, where staff describe his condition

as "serious but stable".

Detective Constable Nicola Kilbane of Shettleston Police Office said: "Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances of this crime and officers are currently carrying out enquires in the Ruchazie area to establish more details on those responsible.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Elibank Street around the time of the incident last night, and either witnessed the attack take place, or may have information that will assist police enquiries."
