Man seriously hurt after park stabbing

POLICE are investigating an attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Glasgow in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The victim, aged 45, was seriously injured after being chased by a gang and attacked. He was walking in the Kinning Park area of Glasgow when he was pursued by a group of three or four men and knifed. The victim is being treated at the Southern General Hospital, where doctors described his condition as "serious".

It is thought the attackers made off in a silver estate car towards Paisley Road Toll.

One is described as white, about 6ft 2in and in his late 20s to early 30s. He was wearing dark clothing and a green and white scarf.
