Man robbed at knifepoint by muggers

A MAN was robbed at knifepoint by two muggers after they dragged him into a car park as he walked in Leith.

The 31-year-old victim was heading along Cables Wynd at around 9.20pm on Saturday when the two men hauled him into the car park at Yardheads.

One of the suspects pulled out a knife and robbed him of cash before both suspects fled towards Henderson Street.

The first man is described as black, early 20s, 6ft tall, thin to athletic build with braided hair, and wearing a dark hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.

The second man is also described as being black, early 20s, 6ft tall, and wearing a dark top and dark trousers.

A police spokesman said: "Fortunately the victim was uninjured, but was left understandably shaken. Anyone who was in the Yardheads area around 9.20pm on Saturday and saw anything suspicious is asked to contact police."
