Man killed walking on country road

A PEDESTRIAN in his twenties died after being hit by a van on a country road, police said yesterday.

Craig John Prentice, 22, from Carnwath was struck as the van overtook another vehicle at 7.30pm on Tuesday night on the B7016 Biggar Road near Carnwath, South Lanarkshire.
