Man killed and two injured in East Ayrshire crash
A driver has died and two people are in hospital after a head-on crash.
The accident happened on the A719 near Waterside, East Ayrshire, at about 3:30pm yesterday and involved a Suzuki Jimny and a Fiat Punto.
The 54-year-old man driving the Suzuki died at the scene and his 51-year-old female passenger was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, where she is said to be in a stable condition.
The 18-year-old driver of the Punto was also taken to hospital. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to contact them by calling 101.
