Man jailed for sex assault

ManA MAN who carried out a violent sex attack on a vulnerable young woman has been jailed for four years.

Mark Easton, 26, wept and shook in the dock yesterday as a judge blasted him for the "terrible" assault which has caused his 24-year-old victim to be put in a residential unit.

Easton, of 43 Mid Street, Livingston, admitted carrying out the attack with intent to rape in Livingston on September 5 last year.

Easton was placed on the sex offenders' register.
