Man injured in A8 petrol tanker smash

Emergency services dealt with a collision between a petrol tanker and a heavy goods vehicle on the A8 yesterday.

The collision took place between Ratho Station and the airport at 9.30am. One man was taken to hospital with back injuries.

In a separate incident, a man was rescued from his car near Gorebridge just after 8.30am yesterday after it left the A7 and landed on its roof. He declined hospital treatment.
