Man injured in car park

A MAN has been taken to hospital after being knocked over at Edinburgh University.

The 24-year-old, believed to be a student, suffered head and facial injuries as a result of the accident at George Square.

The accident is thought to have occurred in the car park area.

The ambulance service said the man was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after the accident at 2.35pm.

A spokesman for the service said the extent of the injuries were not immediately clear but were not thought to be life-threatening.
