Man in court over stabbing

A MAN was due to appear in court today over a stabbing at a city pub which left another man blind in one eye.

Police said a 24-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident at Jo’Bar in Leith Walk last Monday. The victim, Bryan McCabe, 43, had been watching a darts match before the alleged attack. Shocked drinkers immediately rang emergency services and Mr McCabe was rushed to the ERI for treatment.

He was later transferred to St John’s Hospital, Livingston, where he underwent surgery the next morning.
