Man in court over park death

A 49-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with the murder of another man who was found at a Dunbartonshire football park.

Colin McFarlane made no plea or declaration at Dumbarton Sheriff Court yesterday afternoon, when he was charged with the murder of Mark Gallagher.

Mr Gallagher, 37, was found seriously injured at the Argyle Park football pavilion in Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, on Sunday.

He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where he later died.

McFarlane, from Alexandria, was remanded in custody and will make another appearance at court later this month.
