Man in court over death

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Paul Scott in East Lothian last week.

The 29-year-old is due to appear at Haddington Sheriff Court today to face the charges.

Paul Scott, 22, from Niddrie, died following a serious assault in Toll House Gardens in Tranent, at around 4am last Monday.

Paramedics attempted to revive him but he died from his injuries.

A statement released previously by Mr Scott's family said: "Paul was adored by all his family and many friends, and we are all heartbroken."
