Man hurt in road smash

A MAN was taken to hospital with a head injury after his car collided with the central reservation on Calder Road.

The accident took place near Saughton Prison at around 10:45am yesterday.

The man, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to the Royal Infirmary by ambulance to be checked over.

His vehicle was removed just after noon.
