Man hurt in street attack

A MAN was treated at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after being assaulted in an attack in the early hours of the morning.

The 26-year-old man was assaulted at Lambs Pend in Penicuik, Midlothian, on Sunday at around 12:25am.

Police have appealed for help in tracing those responsible for the attack.

A police spokeswoman said: "Following an incident in the early hours of Sunday in Lambs Pend, Penicuik, a male was conveyed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment to injuries sustained and was later released."
