Man hurt in food pan fire

A MAN was treated for smoke inhalation after a pan of food caught fire at his home in Whitburn, West Lothian, in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters were called to the house in North Reeves Place and led the man from the building. He was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.

Three fire appliances dealt with the fire, which was reported just after 5:10am and was extinguished within half an hour.
