Man hurt in club assault

A MAN suffered a facial injury in an alleged assault inside a city nightclub.

The 38-year-old victim was injured in Espionage on Victoria Street at 2.50am yesterday and was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Two men, aged 41 and 29, have been charged.

A police spokeswoman appealed for witnesses to come forward, in particular people who reported the incident to bar staff but left before the police arrived.
