Man hurt in bridge fall

EMERGENCY services staged a dramatic rescue after an 18-year-old man fell from a bridge on to the rocks below and broke his leg.

The incident occurred yesterday at Grotto Bridge on the Cammo Estate in the Barnton area of Edinburgh at around 3.30pm.

Four fire engines and specialist line rescue teams from Lothian and Borders Fire Service rescued the teenager from the rocks. He had hurt his leg after he fell around ten feet from the bridge on to rocks.
