Man held over heroin swoop

A MAN has been arrested and charged with a number of drug offences after police recovered supplies of heroin.

The 28-year-old man was detained in the Mayfield area of Dalkeith at around 2:30pm on Friday after officers allegedly found he was carrying 350 of heroin. Police later searched a home and allegedly discovered further quantities of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

The man was arrested and charged with two counts of drug possession, a charge of possession with intent to supply, and another charge of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
