Man held after teen is attacked at house

A TEENAGER is in a critical condition in hospital after being assaulted at a house in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 17-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, Fife, following the attack in the town’s Kelso Place. He was later transferred to Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

Police say he sustained serious injuries and that a 20-year-old man is being held in connection with the attack.

Detective Inspector Charles Duncan said: “We are carrying out extensive inquiries to identify how and why this youth was assaulted.

“We are aware of an incident that took place and noting statements from those who were present.”
