Man gets life for killing street boys

AN INDONESIAN court has sentenced a man to life in prison for killing and mutilating four street children.

Baikuni, 50, was arrested in January, days after the head and body parts of a nine-year-old boy were found in a plastic bag in a Jakarta river. He was found guilty yesterday of killing and mutilating four boys since 2007. All were aged six to 12.

Prosecutors alleged he had as many as 14 victims.
