Man found dead in Glasgow flat after fire

A MAN was found dead in his home after a fire, police said today.

The 56-year-old, who has not been named, was discovered by firefighters after they extinguished the blaze at the flat.

Emergency services were called to the property in Culbin Drive in the Knightswood area of Glasgow at 8.40pm last night.

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: "A joint police and fire investigation took place into the cause of the fire, however, there are no suspicious circumstances.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
