Man facing jail punched pal

A MAN facing jail for killing a trainee teacher marked his last night of freedom by putting a pal in hospital, a court was told.

David Nisbet, 22, of Colensy Close, Edinburgh, punched his friend Jamie Angus and dislocated his cheek bone, Edinburgh Sheriff Court heard yesterday.

At the time, Nisbet was awaiting sentence at the city’s High Court after being convicted of causing the death in November 2009 of Fiona Clason, 24.

Sentencing on the assault was deferred until January.
