Man dies in Marchmont house fire

A MAN has died in a house fire in Marchmont, and a woman has been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Police and fire services are still attending the scene of the fire in Chalmers Crescent, which was reported at around 8.40am.

The southern end of Chalmers Crescent is currently closed to traffic.
