Man dies in hospital following Falkirk street assault

A MAN who was assaulted in a street died in hospital today, police said.

Steven Snow, 41, was found critically injured in Glenfuir Road, in the Camelon area of Falkirk, on Tuesday.

A 28-year-old man has appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court in connection with the assault.

A spokeswoman for Central Scotland Police said: "He was taken to the Stirling Royal Infirmary but succumbed to his injuries this morning."

Yesterday, Barry Wilson, who is 28 and from Falkirk, appeared in court charged with assault and assault to severe injury and danger to life, the Crown Office said.

No plea or declaration was made.
