Man dies in fall from Inverness hospital roof

A man has died after falling over 100ft from a hospital roof in Inverness.

The man's body was discovered at the rear of Raigmore Hospital in the city this morning.

A spokesman for Northern Constabulary said: "Police are investigating the death of a man at Raigmore Hospital. The body of the man was discovered at the rear of the hospital just after 9am this morning. It is believed that the man may have fallen from the roof.

"Cordons are in place at the scene. Inquiries are continuing."

NHS Highland was unable to comment.
