Man dies in blaze in Western Isles

A MAN has died in a fire in the Western Isles. The 54-year-old died at the scene in Kyles Flodda, near Benbecula yesterday morning.

Firefighters were called shortly after 9am and pulled the man from the building. He was treated by ambulance staff before being pronounced dead.

An investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire.
