Man dies after his canoe capsizes

A MAN died after his canoe capsized in a river, police said. The victim was one of two men canoeing near Tal-y-Bont, Gwynedd, North Wales, when their vessels overturned.

A passer-by raised the alarm at around 12:25pm on Saturday. Police said one of the men was able to get to safety.
