Man dies after being hit by car

A PEDESTRIAN has died after being hit by a car in Glasgow on Saturday night.

The man was struck by a silver Audi A6 travelling east on Paisley Road West at its junction with Bankfoot Road.

Police officers were called to the accident at about 10pm.

The victim was taken to the Southern General Hospital where he later died.

The driver was uninjured but shaken.

A report will be sent to the procurator-fiscal.
