Man dies after Aberdeenshire farm accident

A 39-year-old man has died in an accident at a farm. Paramedics were called to Auchlinn farm near Turriff in Aberdeenshire yesterday evening.

It is understood the worker at the family-run farm was killed in an accident with a piece of machinery.

Police described his death as a tragic accident and said there were no suspicious circumstances.

Two Scottish Fire and Rescue crews were also called to the scene at around 8pm.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said there would be a joint investigation by police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
