Man denies sex assault on woman aged 90

A MAN has appeared in court charged with sexually assaulting a 90-year-old woman in her home.

The alleged attack happened on Wednesday at a sheltered housing complex in Livingston Village, West Lothian.

Appearing from custody at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday, Norbert Toth, 31, pleaded not guilty to committing the offence at the town’s Hanover Court.

Toth, a Hungarian, denied assaulting the woman by placing his face against her neck, seizing her by the clothing and holding her body against his.

Toth, of Livingston, also pleaded not guilty to acting in a threatening and abusive manner and a further charge of resisting, obstructing, molesting and hindering two female police constables.

He was remanded in custody and trial was fixed for February 12.
