Man charged over Halloween death in Aberdeenshire village

A man was charged in connection with the death of a father-of-two on Halloween, police said today.

James Bruce, 40, from the Peterhead area, died in hospital following an incident in Boddam in Aberdeenshire on Sunday.

A team of around 50 officers were involved in the investigation following the incident in Claymore Crescent.

The 37-year-old is expected to appear in court tomorrow.

A report was submitted to the procurator fiscal at Peterhead.
