Man charged over beauty spot incident

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with an attack on a woman at a city beauty spot.

The 36-year-old woman was allegedly grabbed by a man and assaulted during the incident at the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill Local Nature Reserve at around 2:45pm on Tuesday. A 57-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack.

Police are still trying to trace anyone who may have witnessed what happened. They are particularly keen to talk to a woman who was seen walking a golden retriever.

A police spokesperson said: "She may be able to provide some key information."

The suspect is white, slim build, between 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in tall, with grey stubble. He was wearing a dark "puffa" jacket, blue beanie hat and dark trousers.
