Man charged over assault and robbery

POLICE have arrested and charged a 21-year-old man in connection with an alleged assault and robbery of a 12-year-old boy in Edinburgh.

The youngster allegedly had his phone stolen in Craigmillar Road, on Wednesday, at around 9:15pm, after being attacked.

The man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today. Officers wish to trace another man who was with him.
