Man charged after robbery

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted robbery at a Lothian jewellers.

The incident took place at the store in the High Street in Haddington on Wednesday.

A 32-year-old man was arrested. He was set to appear at Haddington Sheriff Court yesterday.

Meanwhile, a 36-year-old man was arrested and charged with drink driving near Traprain Law, east of Haddington, at about 6.30pm on Wednesday.
