Man arrested over assault

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged indecent assault on two young girls.

The 46-year-old man is set to appeal at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday after being detained by police.

The girls, aged 11 and 12, were left "shocked and distressed" after being followed along the street, then indecently assaulted by a man in Dalkeith, Midlothian. The incident took place at around 7:50pm on Monday in Eskdaill Street.
